I am excited to be attending the 2nd annual Layne Staley Tribute in Boston coming up on November 7th. Listen, I haven’t flown since September 2001. Not for any specific reason, other than I just haven’t gone anywhere. Having lived in the PNW my entire life, there’s always something to do here.

Headlining this years tribute is Davey Allen who has been really HOT🔥 across social media. He’s been selling out shows left and right. Also Billy Paul Fisher, former front man of Docs and Flannels, who can really great a crowd pumped and Vedder Gabriel who has been also a fan favorite on social media. All 3 performers will be backed up by Boston’s best local musicians!

Vedder joined Seattle’s Jar of Flies for the annual Layne Staley Tribute, August 2025. He’ll be joining us again for this event in Boston.

The event will be held at the Crystal Ballroom at the Somerville Theatre in Somerville, MA. Tickets are available by clicking on this link: https://www.crystalballroomboston.com/events/layne-staley-tribute-east-2026/

For me to fly across the U.S. to the East Coast is really a big deal. I am supporting this event; not only the headliners, but also the local musicians who are donating their time and talents to be there. My friend Steve Sesar who is the front man for NothingSafe started this tribute last year with his friend Brock Landers of Real Thing. Who knew there were so many awesome AiC tribute bands in Massachusetts??? Steve asked me to help promote – this is the 2nd year I’ve been on board and helping out.

This tribute is not only in memory of Layne Staley, but also Mike Starr. They were “brothers by other mothers” and it’s only right that we honor them both.

Please come out and be a part of this truly important cause; the opioid epidemic, raising awareness and promote healing.
