I really felt the need to share with you my feelings about what this young woman pictured here went through. This is Mica Miller. She completed suicide April 27, 2024. She and her estranged husband JP Miller are the subjects of a documentary on Netflix called “Death of the Pastor’s Wife.”

This story is about abuse, gaslighting, cyberstalking, stalking, lies and more. I watched this 3 part series twice and both times I was crying for this woman. I wanted to shake her and tell her to fight and to tell her that she is worthy. Mica was devoted in her faith for God, she had such a beautiful singing voice and was loved by so many.

When Mica left her husband, he never gave her any peace. He, a pastor at a very popular church called Solid Rock. Funny, because I attended a church years ago with the same name. He used his congregation to spin lies, spin the scripture to demean women, and gaslight his wife after she left him with his disciples. After she made the decision to kill herself and completes it, he immediately started to do everything to change the narrative of the story about their marriage. After the sheriff’s department ruled her death as a suicide, her family and the internet took matters into their own hands. The most disgusting thing her husband Pastor Miller did was have his regular church service the day after Mica’s death. He waited to the very end to announce her passing; he sounded like he was announcing coffee and cookies in the basement. Then proceeded to gaslight his dead wife once again.

Sadly Mica’s story is not unfamiliar. Many women and even men are trapped in unhappy marriages and relationships. You CAN LEAVE, there is help! You ARE WORTHY, you are LOVED. I am so incredibly sad for this woman and her family. There is so much more to this story.

Since I shared this story on social media yesterday, I wanted to add some additional information about what has happened since her death. JP Miller has been charged with lying to federal agents (FBI) and with cyberstalking. Both are federal crimes charged by the FBI; both in connection with his wife, Mica’s death.

On top of those charges, both JP and his father Wayne (also a pastor) have civil lawsuits against them from former church members. In those civil suits two women have complained that JP Miller sexually assaulted them. In one of those civil suits, one of the claimants lawyers provided testimony from JP’s former wife Alison. She stated that JP Miller confessed that he has made sexual advances to underage parishioners, paid for prostitutes and several other allegations. Thankful that the other social media platforms have brought this story to light. This man in a monster.
