Seattle Tribute Concert for Chris Cornell: Uniting Music and Mental Health Support

On April 27th, great artists, friends, and music fans came out to celebrate the life and music of Chris Cornell last at the High Dive – and the show sold out!

It’s only natural that Seattle’s own Cornell would be given this musical honor, in the heart of Fremont and in front of an excited throng of fans and performers alike. His legacy spanned four decades – FOUR of them – and his words touched the hearts of millions while he searched for answers to life’s weird twists in love pain faith frustration and self-worth. Yes, it is natural to celebrate this – because so much of what he highlighted were things his fans truly understood.

The night also paid tribute to NAMI Washington, for all the great work they do for people struggle with their mental health. Teaming up the two – great music and a great cause – is most definitely something that Nehi Stripes likes to get behind. It’s this sense of community that makes our music scene special; we’re all like a bunch of friends when we all get together.

I’ve provided a collection of photos from the show in this post. Thanks to everyone who came out to support the bands. to support NAMI Washington with their contributions, and to support the memories voice and beautiful life of Chris.

And a special thank you goes out to our friends who performed:

OUTSHINED (Tribute to Soundgarden & Temple Of The Dog); Rain Light Fade; Aisha Elmehdaoui; Glenn Cannon; JT Phillips; Kyyle Cort; Lee Bruso; Daryl Williams; Jake Carden; Brendan Maier; Skylar Steffy; Artis Spoonman; and the fantastic staff at High Dive!

Enjoy, and see you at the front of the stage very soon!
