I couldn’t imagine a more beautiful image of Layne at the beginning of his career – a Rock Star. In fact, he was one before he ever sang a note. When I look at this photo I think about the risk he took to follow his dream. Taking a huge risk to try singing, instead of drumming.
What I can say for certain, Layne has left a monumental legacy behind. He’s finally getting acknowledged instead of shunned. He & Mike⭐️ are honored at every single concert, as they should be. We, the fans honor them, celebrate their lives, and remember dates, stories, images and articles 21 years after, and 12 years after respectively.
Paul’s images of the guys are my most cherished because of the unknowing world they’d yet seen. The innocence in their eyes, on their faces and in their stance’s.
I’m very pleased to announce that Paul Hernandez will have a limited amount of prints available for purchase at the main tribute event on August 19th. We also have a surprise coming up on the 17th. Photographed by Paul at the 2114 Studio 1988.
